Training reference manual for CVOICE v6.0
This course focuses on the following technologies:
- Telecom basics and introduction to VoIP
- Fundamentals of VoIP calls
- Codecs, DSP functionality, VoIP signaling and call control
- Types of gateways (H.323, MGCP and SIP) and their configuration
- Dial peers and configuring dial plans
- Introduction to gatekeepers
- Integrating gateways and gatekeepers into the VoIP network
- Implementing Gatekeeper based call admission control
- Implementation of IP-to-IP gateways
- Implementing a Cisco UBE
Prerequisite:
- Basic knowledge of Networking, LAN, WAN, and IP switching and routing.
- Knowledge of traditional public switched telephone network (PSTN) operations and technologies
- Hands on experience on Cisco Routers and Switches, Ability to configure VLANs and DHCP
- Basic Internetworking skills
