Course Title: Cisco Unified Communications Workshop
Course Description: This workshop is designed for Account Managers, Product Sales Specialists, Systems Engineers, and Sales Management personnel who want to understand how to better position the business value of the Cisco Unified Communications release and it new capabilities with an executive-level audience outside of the IT organization. The two-day workshop utilizes a lively combination of interactive role-playing, dynamic lectures, and real-world case study examples to illustrate proven best practices in the successful positioning and selling Ciscos latest generation of IP Communications offerings.
It high-level overview and primer for unified communications (UC), beginning with its definition. UC will be reviewed within the overall evolution of business communications solutions, including the time of unified messaging and why UC is a step forward. Business case scenarios and possible ROI models for UC will be presented. This will include a discussion of both the technology behind UC, as well as the productivity benefits for both employees and the business itself.
Learning Objectives:
Understanding of Critical Success Factors in executive-level demand creation
Build a proof of concept lab environment for Cisco IP telephony which:
- Displays typical available calling features, such as hold, pickup, transfer, forward, group pickup, park, call barge etc.
- Meet me/ ad-hoc conferencing using software and hardware resources. IP voice media services such as MoH, Annunciator etc.
- Extension mobility
- IP Phone services such as fast dial, address book etc.
- Attendant console and call hunting functionalities.
- Codec selection and call admission.
- Integration of PSTN through Digital and analog gateways.
- AAR and SRST
- Basic Voicemail using Cisco Unity
Course Length: Two (2) days, each of which requires a full nine (9) hours from start to finish (e.g., 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM)
Max/Min Class Size: Recommend minimum of five (5) participants
Course Prerequisites: Previous attendance in Cisco-approved training on the specifications and features associated with products in the Cisco Unified Communications release.
